The Static Memories – The bloudy vision of John Farley
Here’s our album. Gus and I are really pleased with it and Paul Khimasia Morgan is putting it out on Slightly off Kilter. I’m not great at describing my work so there’s a track on my Soundcloud which should give a good idea of what to expect.

Thee Bald Knobbers / Reds / Bolide / Nil
Me and Chris are playing at a benefit gig for Brighton and Hove Community Radio, a just cause if ever there was one. Its at the Cowley Club inevitably, which is on London Road, Brighton.
28th February at 8pm, Donations.
You can find it listed on the excellent Brighton Eyeball Google calendar, for all your Brighton & Hove experimental music requirements:
Earsthetic part 2
Earsthetic was great, all the acts were on top form and it was really nice to play on a top quality pa with a top quality sound engineer (thanks Jem!). I had an attack of nerves beforehand which to my relief disappeared immediately I walked on stage . Our collaboration with Mirei was a success and we’re hoping to work together again.
Earsthetic
Gus and I will be performing as part of the Earsthetic Festival at The Brighton Dome on December 11th. The festival runs all week and features Ryoji Ikeda, Mira Calix and Peaches amongst others, plus the 11th which is being curated by the Spirit of Gravity collective which I’m a member of. We’re really excited about this, not just because it’s such a great venue, but also because we are being joined by dancer Mirei Yazawa.
The festival is an exploration of the ways sound and vision can work together so I’ve made a video of ice melting (I did consider paint drying) to be shown with our set.

Supernormal
Chris and I travelled to Braziers Park in Oxfordshire once again for Supernormal. We got to play in the Church of Chaos on Saturday afternoon and then for Bang the Bore in the Barn on Sunday. Both good sets and we gave away a few cd’s, got some nice comments and made some new friends. Chris did a blasting set with some Bolide people and I took part in a John Cage percussion piece with a very long title which I have forgotten, organised by Adam Bushell.
I saw plenty great music, performance and art. Plurals, Cosham Community Players, Lama Dalai’s facilitated visual scores interpreted by the Kev Nickells All Stars, a performance in the woods at night, Carousel, Mothers of the Third Reich, and possibly the quietest piece of music I’ve ever heard by Charlie Sdraulig which was almost inaudible above the drone metal sound bleed.
On the radio pt. 2
We went on the radio with Kev which was fun, we had a chat on air about what we’re up to. Talked a bit about the Spirit of Gravity, Safehouse and Fort Process, the all dayer in Newhaven pretty much everyone is now involved in talking about. We played an acoustic set which was ok, not really what we’re used to, but ok.
